Just clarifying a few things about Rusty. He was not born in California he was born in Colorado where he grew up. He was married three times. He married his first wife in Colorado in his early years but they divorced before he became famous. His second marriage was to Annie Emery the daughter of the founder of Emery freight and she was the mother to Sara and Will and after they divorced they lived close to each other to have access to their children. Mary is this third wife and now widow, they had no children.

Shortly after Rusty passed, I ordered and received a new Poco T-Shirt to honor Rusty and the band this summer.

I was surprised and delighted to also receive a CD as and a guitar pick.

I love the CD, but it didn’t come with a title or song titles.

I labeled it “Poco Final” in my library.

Does anyone have a song list of this CD?

Sorry to Mary for the loss of Rusty. I never met either Mary or Rusty though I attended many many shows starting in Boston on the Common when the band formed and extending to my last concert in Rockport MA about 2 years ago. Had tickets for the upcoming show in Lynn MA. We've lost a great one and a great person and musician. His music and writing simply kept getting better culminating with Waiting for the Sun. I'll continue to listen to Rusty and Poco every Sunday morning because there is simply no better way to start the day and the week.. He will be missed deeply but thankfully the music lives on and on.

Just wanted to drop in and say, I can’t hear Crazy Love without the smell of ocean breeze air taking back to a concert I went to in the late 70s or early 80s where you guys opened for Boston! I loved Poco more than Boston!— fun times!

J just wanted to tell you that I've loved your music since my early 20s. I'm now in my early 60s. I especially like Rose of Cimarron! I just listened to it and it is so heavenly! I especially love the voice of the beautiful gentleman with the long brown hair
His voice is angelic !

My condolences to Rusty's wife and family. I was a huge fan and followed his whole career, and saw him (Poco) in concert several times throughout the years. I remember when Poco was the opening act for a new band called the Eagles in the St. Paul Civic Center. Key Poco members left over the years and I always worried how they would be able to survive. Somehow Rusty's talent and leadership was so spectacular, he kept the band together, bringing in new members without skipping a beat.
The band and their music just kept getting better, musically and vocally.
Your music was an inspiration to me when I was performing with bands in the late 60's and 70's. Needless to say, we were mostly playing country-rock at a time when most bands weren't. Thanks for giving me so much enjoyment.
Last, but not least, I could tell by Rusty's energy and personality on stage, that he was a great person also.

Was in the fall of '69 or spring of '70 when I first saw Poco in Buffalo NY. My future wife was in the same crowd, tho we didn't meet for another 3 years. When we did get together we found that we had duplicates of many rock albums; but the groups we each had the most of was Poco and Buffalo Springfield. You have been a big part of our lives ever since. Clubs and venues small and bigger - the JCC in Westchester; Jones Beach; Patchoque, Daryl's House in Pawling where I saw you and then in Denver 4 days later when she and our daughter saw you in Aurora Co, when Richey sat in. Will miss your kind smile.
The sun is a little less bright; the mountain breeze a little chillier; all because you're not here to sing about it for and with us.

So sad to hear of Rusty's passing. He and his band POCO were an inspiration to me in times of great stress; their songs will continue to bring me great pleasure and happiness, as I recall the joy in seeing them in concert. My sincere condolences to Mary and the family. RIP Rusty...see you down the road.
